See You On the Other Side: A Poem for the Grieving

posted in: Uncategorized | 0

I see you in that hospital bed

Barely hanging on

Sickness has robbed you of time and joy

You wish you had back

Surrounded by the ones you held dear

With broken, weary hearts

Hoping for a miracle to pass

For you a brand new start

I bow my head to pray again

Please spare her of the pain

But I know your plan is best

For her, to die is gain

Help me cherish this every time

I’ll see you on the other side

I believe you ran the race so well

By faith you carried on

Jesus, Lord of all, was so proud

His grace made you strong
